Steadier rain will return to the area as the workweek winds to a close with the dreary weather expected to continue through Mother's Day on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Drizzle and light rain will continue to hamper outdoor plans on and off Thursda y as daytime highs reach 53. Nighttime temperatures will drop to 48. The region will see steadier rain during the day and night on Friday.
