Try Obstacle Course At Armonk Urgent Care 'Family Day'

An obstacle course, outdoor fitness classes, and pumpkin painting are on tap Saturday, Oct. 1 at a one-year anniversary celebration of an urgent care facility in Armonk. White Plains Hospital Medical & Wellness and Equinox Armonk, which is adjacent to the facility, will mark the occasion with three hours of free family fun.

Armonk's Livanos Family Holds Event To Benefit Residents Of Lesvos, Greece

The Livanos family, owners of City Limits in Stamford, Conn. and White Plains, along with Armonk's Moderne Barn, and two restaurants in Manhattan have deep ties to that area and so have been quietly doing their part to support their fellow Greek citizens both with monetary donations and donated clothing.

Child Locked In Running Vehicle Tops North Castle Police Blotter

A 1-year-old child locked in a running car drew North Castle police and a local mechanic to Jeanne Place on Saturday to ensure the toddler's safety, according to authorities. The child's mother called police about 4:45 p.m. and was told by a dispatcher that Armonk Garage would arrive at the car shortly, according to police.

Purchase College President Thanks Campus Community For Uniting After Fire

Flames shoot the roof of a Purchase College dormitory shortly after the blaze was reported at 10 p.m. on Sunday. All 25 residents evacuated safely and no firefighters were hurt containing the fire by 11 p.m. Canned foods and beverages were among the items donated to meet short-term needs of Purchase College students displaced by a dormitory fire on Sunday.
