Armonk Developer Walks Out Of North Castle Town Board Meeting After Spat

An Armonk developer walked out of a North Castle Town Board meeting last week after town Supervisor Michael Schiliro demanded an apology from the builder for making "deplorable" comments about another town administrator, according to The Examiner. Michael Fareri, a developer who'd like to relocate affordable housing units from his condominium project on Bedford Road to a property at 470 Main St., apparently made comments about Sal Misiti, North Castle director of water and sewer, fueling Schiliro's anger, according to The Examiner, which reported that the supervisor called Fareri's comments "deplorable."

Growing Threat Monster Hurricane Will Impact Armonk As Track Shifts

The most powerful Atlantic storm in nearly a decade now has more of a chance of impacting the area based on new projections that it will take a westward shift in its path. The slow-moving monster Category 4 storm, which is barreling along at just seven miles an hour, is now taking aim at Cuba and Haiti and could impact Florida and the Carolinas by the end of the workweek.
