The stationary front that has been parked over the area since the start of the workweek that has produced on-and-off snow each day will finally be lumbering away from the region, giving way to an Arctic air blast that will put the region in a deep freeze. There first chance of flurries or snow showers will last through roughly 3 a.m. Thursday.
