Armonk Shopping Center Undergoing Improvements
Elide Plaza has welcomed two new restaurants, as well as the relocation of Made in Asia from the Armonk Shopping Center, and Armonk House, which has taken the place of Enzo's. The plaza was also given a summons for removing 14 trees that bordered Route 22 because no written permit was obtained from the building inspector, reported allaboutarmonk.com.

Mary Jones, 90, Of Armonk
Jones was born in Carndonagh, County Donegal, Ireland in 1924, the second youngest of nine children and the last surviving sibling. She was predeceased by her husband Bradford, and is survived by her son Steve, daughter-in-law Diane, and grandchildren Brandon and Ariana.

White Plains Hospital Staffers Compete In Corporate Run
More than 50 staff members participated on the White Plains Hospital team in the second annual Westchester Corporate Fun Run 5K at SUNY Purchase on Thursday, July 16. This year's event raised funds for Blythdale Children's Hospital in Valhalla. The hospital is one of the largest pediatric centers in the country, and the biggest in the New York metro area.

The Pace University Swimming and Diving teams were each recognized by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America for excellence in the classroom during the Spring 2015 semester. State Champion Byram Hills Baseball Team Gets Praise From Town Officials

Easement For Brynwood's Space In Armonk Gets Tightened
The language in a proposed conservation easement for Brynwood Golf & Country Club has been tightened to make it harder for major changes to be made in the future. The revised language, which was announced by North Castle town officials at a June 24 meeting, includes requiring unanimous approval from both the Town Board and the local Conservation Board to make changes.
