Pace Students' Documentary To Premiere At Jacob Burns Film Center

Pace University communications and visual arts students are in the process of creating a documentary short film, "Curacao's Coral Challenge," that will premiere off-campus at the Jacob Burns Center for the first time on Tuesday, May 12 at 7:30 p.m. The students' documentary has never premiered off campus at a venue outside of the university and Jacob Burns is a well-regarded repertory cinema. "Curacao's Coral Challenge" explores one Caribbean island's efforts to give coral reefs a chance despite a host of threats ranging from climate change to invasive lionfish to the pollution and fishing impacts that often accompany rapid coastal development.

North Castle Town Board OK's Takeover Of ALE Pool's Operations

North Castle's Town Board unanimously approved a deal for the town to take over operation of the Anita Louise Ehrman Recreation Center's pool in Armonk, a major shift in how the institution will be run. Under the deal, which was approved Wednesday night, North Castle will license the pool from the center - it is known by the initials of "ALE" - from April 1 through Oct. 31. The town then has the option to renew its license for up to four years, which would take it to Oct. 31, 2019.

Pace University and the U.S. arm of the Association of Chartered Certified Accounts have announced a partnership linking ACCA's globally recognized qualification program to both graduate and undergraduate coursework at Pace University's New York campus and suburban Westchester campuses.
