Traffic congestion at the intersection of Main Street, Maple Avenue and Whippoorwill Road East is expected Thursday and Friday as construction on a traffic signal and pedestrian crosswalk continues. Contract workers are expected to install curbs, sidewalks and traffic sensor loops along the busy intersection, forcing periodic road closures and delays, according to officials.
