Suspicious Men, Firebird Burnouts Top North Castle Police Blotter

A suspicious vehicle that sad idly for more than an hour in North Castle led to the arrest of a man who was in possession of a false ID, police said. Members of the North Castle Police Department received a report shortly before 8:45 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 1, of a suspicious car that had been sitting on Cox Avenue for more than an hour.

Precautionary Police Presence At HS Lax Game Tops North Castle PD Blotter

Police in North Castle were recently called to Byram Hill High School in Armonk after a trio of parents were allegedly heckling referees at a lacrosse game. According to a North Castle police report released on Thursday, on May 5, the Byram Hills High School Athletic Director Rob Castagna requested an officer for police presence at the press box for the conclusion of a lacrosse game as a precaution.

Changes Afoot For Armonk Business Landscape

Two longtime businesses, The Right Thing and Sheep Shack, are shutting their doors, while a host of new businesses will be opening soon. Sheep Shack, which has sold women's clothes at 418 Main St. for 42 years will be closing at the end of February as its owner, Ronnie Zeidenberg, plans on retiring.
