Members of the North Castle Police Department received a report shortly before 8:45 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 1, of a suspicious car that had been sitting on Cox Avenue for more than an hour.

According to a North Castle police report released on Thursday, on May 5, the Byram Hills High School Athletic Director Rob Castagna requested an officer for police presence at the press box for the conclusion of a lacrosse game as a precaution.

Two longtime businesses, The Right Thing and Sheep Shack, are shutting their doors, while a host of new businesses will be opening soon. Sheep Shack, which has sold women's clothes at 418 Main St. for 42 years will be closing at the end of February as its owner, Ronnie Zeidenberg, plans on retiring.
